From 24th-26th May, we convened as a fellowship group at House of the Open Door for our first Anglican Greyfriars Chapter. Having previously held weekly Gatherings online via Zoom, the opportunity to enjoy in-person fellowship, to reinforce old bonds, and to forge new friendships was a blessing.
At Worcester Cathedral on 25th May, Brothers Alasdair and Kevin renewed their Life Vows, whilst Br. Rhodri made his Novice Vows, and David joined us as a Candidate. Heartfelt thanks Fr. Brian OSB at the Cathedral for hearing our Vows, and for presiding at our first Eucharist as a community. Thanks also to the librarian for the display of historical works - particularly those related to Franciscanism - for us (in particular, Br. Alasdair) to dribble over!
We are already continuing our weekly online Gatherings from around the UK, and are looking forward to our next in-person Chapter (around the Transitus of St. Francis).
Should you have any queries regarding St. Francis, St. Clare, the Anglican Greyfriars, or anything else that may seem related, please do get in touch - Br. Kevin in particular welcomes queries regarding vocations.
Pax et bonum.
